The recent among television stars to test COVID-19 positive is actress Disha Parmar.
Taking to her verified Instagram account, the actress, best known for her lead role as Pankhuri in ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’, confirmed the news.
“As they say.. There is no right timing for bad time.. Being positive never was so awful,” she wrote.
Hours later, she seemed in a brighter mood, posting a birthday wish for singer and rumoured boyfriend Rahul Vaidya, expressing inability to be with him owing to her ill-health.
“HAPPPYYYY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! I wish the least i could do was to come and wish you but then Life happened! Nevertheless, all the happiness, all the love and all the wishes for you in Life! Only the Best,” she wrote.
Rahul, who will be seen as a housemate in reality show Bigg Boss 14, responded to Disha and wrote, “Thank u D.” He followed the comment with a heart emoji.
Besides ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’, Disha has also appeared on Bigg Boss 9 as a a guest, and was last seen in ZeeTv’s ‘Woh Apna Sa’, essaying the role of Jhanvi Agarwal/Jia Mehra.
Reportedly, Disha`s mother contracted the virus 10 days ago.
Earlier, renowned Marathi, Hindi films, and stage actress Ashalata Wabgaonkar passed away after a four-day battle with COVID-19 at a private hospital in Satara. She was 79.
She was in a critical condition when admitted to a private hospital last weekend. Her end came at the hospital early on Tuesday morning. Popularly known as Ashalata, the Goa-born actress had reportedly contracted the infection during the shootings of a teleserial.
Ashalata Wabgaonkar was in Satara to shoot for a Marathi TV serial, Aai Kalubai. Reportedly, she, along with about 20 members of the TV serial crew tested positive for the novel coronavirus there.
